ILA's modern facilities are conveniently located in the heart of Dublin’s city center, offering a vibrant and immersive urban experience. Students from the US live, study, and engage in activities alongside their European peers, fostering a diverse and enriching community. Dublin consistently ranks as one of the world’s friendliest and safest cities, making it an ideal destination for students. Program Structure

Semester (fall or spring)

• 15 weeks

• 4-5 academic courses (12-15 credits)

Summer

• 4 weeks

• 1-2 academic courses (3-6 credits)

Credits

In the fall and spring semesters, you must enroll in at least four courses to satisfy the immigration requirements for your stay in Ireland. Each course is three credits and meets for a total of 45 contact hours. Elective courses generally meet two times per week for 90 minutes each session, Monday-Thursday.

Prior to your departure, you will select your course preferences and be enrolled based on their availability. It is in your best interest to select alternative courses and have them approved by your home university. To ensure successful credit transfer and progression in your studies, please speak with your study abroad advisor about the courses and number of credits you wish to take.
